Last weekend, on May 18th and 19th, St. Nicholas International School hosted The World Scholar’s Cup competition with the theme “A world on the margins”. Our students from St. Nicholas International School convincingly won 7 silver medals.
The World Scholar’s Cup has been an annual academic competition since 2006, which attracts high school students from more than 60 countries around the world in order to participate and debate using English on interrelated issues in many areas: science, literature, art, history, social science… The Da Nang Round this time attracted 75 candidates from many countries.
Although this was the first time St. Nicholas International School’s students participated in this competition, our 12 primary and middle school students made a great effort and won 7 silver medals in different categories. Especially, Jr Team 812 (Phuong Nguyen Quynh, Nam Van Tuan, Hieu Le Mau Van) and Sr. Team 828 (Tuan Le Mau Thanh, Hung Tran Thanh, Ngoc Nguyen Tran Bao) will participate in the upcoming Global Round in one of places: Beijing, Hague (Amsterdam), Sydney, Astana, Manila, and Durban.
