October 18, 2018. On Thursday afternoon, St. Nicholas International School held yet another scholarship ceremony for gifted students. The “Shining With the American Dream” scholarship is part of a larger series aimed at promoting academic activities. During the ceremony, St. Nicholas School and Greenwich International University (Vietnam) took the occasion to finalize and sign an agreement of future cooperation.
As previously mentioned, St. Nicholas School continues to promote learning programs for gifted students, awardings scholarships and opportunities to outstanding and deserving students around Vietnam. The most recent scholarship program, for Grades 9 and 10, has attracted a large number of participants, many of whom are not only known for their academic abilities, but also their talents in sports and arts.
At the scholarship ceremony, the school was honored to award a Full Ride Scholarship (worth 1 Billion VND) to two students, Nguyen Tran Bao Ngoc and Le Ba Manh Kha of the 10th grade. An additional seven students received 50 percent off tuition, worth over 700 million VND each.
We believe that by giving these talented students access to the incredible facilities and accredited educational system of Texas Tech University, this sets them up to further their educational path. These students represent some of our best and brightest, and we are honored to help them with the future aspirations.
On this same occasion, Dr. Ho Vu Khue Ngoc, Vice-Dean, Department of International Studies, Danang University (UDN) and Founder of Academy English Center (AEC), gave a speech to express the feelings of a parent when they see their child receive a scholarship. After learning about the curriculum and after meeting the management board, Khue Ngoc is really confident about the training course as well as the quality of the education students receive at St. Nicholas School.
The newly built St. Nicholas School offers students with a trimmed down, personalized approach to education. Rather than building a bulky building filled to the brim with students, the school aims to give students not only a comfortable learning environment, but also to bring quality international education the Danang, Vietnam.
Following the awards, the signing ceremony of the memorandum of understanding officially marked a milestone in educational policy and development between St. Nicholas School and the University of Greenwich in Vietnam.
This new partnerships opens up lots of new opportunities for St. Nicholas Students after they finish their studies through the TTU program. They now have yet another choice for higher education, one that is especially attractive to parents as it gives students an international education, while staying close to home.
