James Deogracias is a graduate with a Bachelors of Secondary Education and a Major in Physical Education with concentration in Dance at the Philippine Normal University-The National Center for Teachers.
He is a well-known teacher in Quezon City, Philippines because of his achievements and prowess in the world of dance. Even at his young age, James has been in the teaching profession for 5 years. He taught Music, Arts, P.E., and Health to Middle School at Casa del Niño Montessori School in 2013 to 2014.
He has also taught public school from July 2014- January 2018 at Doña Rosario High School as the Grade 8 Music, Arts, P.E., and Health Teacher. Additionally, he is an advisor, trainer, and choreographer of a dance troupe focusing on ballroom, local and international folk dances, as well as modern and Hip-Hop. In February 2018 he decided to work overseas where he has continued teaching art and dance for Primary, Elementary, Middle School, and High School, as well as English Language Development (ELD) at APU American International School-Danang, Vietnam. He also works as an Event Coordinator of the school. He was trained to become an effective, globally-competitive, and efficient teacher. Indeed, he is now a member of International Dance Teacher Association (IDTA) which is based in Brighton, England.
He is not only equipped with knowledge and talents but is also a values-centered teacher who always looks after what impact the students can make for society as a whole. He makes sure that his students are not just learning but having fun while learning. He enjoys everything about dance, reading books, and traveling.
He is now teaching English for the Low level both in Middle School and High School, as an administrator of WIDA MODEL Program of St. Nicholas International School. All this is on top of his continued teaching of dance for the school.
